I was so excited when I opened the huge pallet of boxes that arrived. It all looked great for such a value. Plantation wood from Indonesia was printed on the boxes. Only when I started putting things together did I second guess my choice. There were some broken end pieces that I decided I could deal with and fix. My real irritation started with the pegs sent for putting the chairs together. – There is no hardware for it except for the wooden pegs. (A similar set on Amazon, named cassara, from a high end patio store, stated they use stainless steel hardware on their set that costs much, much more.) The pegs are not strong enough to be tapped into the holes with as much force as need. Only about 50 percent of the time was I able to get them all the way in without them starting to smash at the ends or beak all together. This resulted in a wobbly chair. I could not find replacement pegs, the proper size, at the hardware store. Finally I just started putting the chairs together and re-drilling the holes before I began doing anything. I would then take the chair back apart, add gorilla glue and then tap in the pegs. This seems to be working better at achieving a sturdier chair. There are still some gaps where pieces meet because the chairs were not put together tightly enough before the holes were drilled by the manufacturer. The table came with larger and much stronger pegs. Overall the set looks nice and I gave it 4 stars because it is a fraction of the price of similar sets I have seen.

The chairs are comfortable even without a cushion, but are better with one. A deeper seat (that I believe they offer in another set) would be more comfortable for lounging/slouching in the chairs.

I purchased two of these chairs one year ago, this month. I kept them out of the rain, during the rainy season but did leave them out with about 1/2 a day’s sun exposure. The paint is chipping in various areas and the “cherry red” color (I purchased red, not green but same chair) has completely faded. The company I purchased this product from no longer sells Globalinx Corp. products. I cannot even find their website or phone number to take care of this problem. I’m super disapointed in the paint quality but cannot comment on wear and tear of these chairs because they are not sat in too often. If they would have stated the chairs would eventually fade, I would have bought a natural color instead. I feel ripped off! The add states quality and durable paint.

This chair is a life saver for me. I have a herniated disk in my lower back, and this is the only place where I can find a position that is not agony. I have been sleeping in it as well as spending period 5-10 minutes stints to decompress the spine during the day. These short sessions allow me a few minutes where I can sit sonewhere else or walk a short distance to get something.

A friend loaned it to me but I am planning buy one of my own as soon as I am better.

Note I am 5′2″ and this chair is easy for me to operate. I think the people who had trouble operating it did not do the following: When you want to recline you need to lightly push up on the lower bar with your feet and with your back on the back of the chair. When you want to get up you need to lightly push with your calves on the canvas and not push with your back on the back of the chair. The chair is basically a lever

I PURCHASED TWO OF THESE CHAISES, AND I THOUGHT, “WHAT A DEAL.” $117 PLUS FREE SHIP, WELL YOU JUST CAN’T GO WRONG. THEY HAD INCREASED THE PRICE TO DOUBLE THAT, SO I WAITED TILL IT WENT BACK TO THAT ORIGINAL PRICE. THE CHAISE IS REALLY NICE TO LOOK AT. ITS NOT AS STURDY AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT BUT WELL THEY ARE HERE. WHEN YOU SET ON THEM THEY DO INDENT IN. I KNOW THEY WILL LAST A COUPLE OF SUMMERS. BUT IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 200 LBS I WOULD PROBABLY ADVISE NOT TO PURCHASE AS MY HUSBAND DOESN’T LIKE AND WILL NOT SIT ON THEM.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING AND SEE IT INCREASE AFTER, DELETE YOUR COOKIES. THEY KNOW YOU ARE LOOKING TO PURCHASE AND THEY TRY TO MAKE AN EXTRA BUCK. DELETING YOUR COOKIES DELETES YOUR HISTORY TO THAT ONLINE STORE.

At first I wasn’t used to this chair, it’s quite different from the usual straight lounge chair. However, it didn’t take long for me to get very, very comfortable in this chair. It’s great for just chilling, reading, or taking a nap, it’s so adjustable.

As for the complaint that the mesh doesn’t reach to the bottom, I’m not exceptionally tall, but if the mesh did go all the way to the bottom you couldn’t rest your feet comfortably on the bar on the end while reclining. I would think it would be more annoying if it did go all the way to the bottom.
